4.1 Principle
Electrical Dynamic Analysis (EDA) is the most widely used technique for characterizing the dielectric properties of polymers. It is the electrical equivalent of ADM.
An alternating electric field is applied to the sample; measured current variations enable polarization variations to be determined, and hence the real ε′ and imaginary ε

components of the complex dielectric permittivity , as well as the loss factorδ = ε

/ ε′. Accessible frequency ranges are much wider than for ADM: 10
