4. Conclusion

Aquatic pollution by pharmaceutical products, and in particular anticancer drugs, is a subject that arouses the curiosity of many scientific and non-scientific players, as it affects a vital element: water. The preservation of the good chemical and ecological status of water bodies is imperative, and requires the proposal of appropriate solutions and the deployment of substantial resources to reduce this pollution in particular. Until now, anticancer drugs have been little studied in an environmental context, but their potential danger is a cause for concern, and they are now being given greater consideration in research programs (BioMedBoue (2009-2012) (BioMedBoue website), Pharmas (2011-2013) (Pharmas website), Cytothreat (2011-2013) (Cytothreat website).
