Among the various materials used in construction, steel plays an increasingly important role in the construction of structures (buildings, engineering structures, etc.) [29] .

The steel products encountered belong to three main families:

  • flat and long rolled products (buildings, bridges, dams);

  • active reinforcement (prestressed concrete) and passive reinforcement (high bond for reinforced concrete) ;

  • superstructure equipment (guardrails, lighting, vertical signs, etc.).
