3.1 Definitions

Antiseptics and disinfectants are "health products" within the meaning of the new law 98-535 of 1 er July 1998. Products claiming antimicrobial activity of this type can be found among drugs (antiseptics in the strict sense), medical devices (disinfectants for medical devices such as endoscopes), certain cosmetics, surface disinfectants and disinfectants for premises.
