4. Conclusions
In this article, we present a number of fall (or distress) detection methods and their evaluation. More and more research is being carried out into prevention methods, such as gait analysis. Current developments are aimed at less intrusive methods that are easy to install in homes and/or institutions.
Part of this work was carried out as part of the BiVACS ® initiative. The feedback and recommendations are the result of work carried out with the working group set up around the theme. The laboratory evaluation was carried out with the AGIM-FRE 3405 laboratory, in particular Christophe Villemaz and Nicolas Vuillerme.
