6. Conclusion

In this brief presentation of e-health technologies used in the home, we have taken stock of the techniques available for monitoring and educating, these two activities constituting two inseparable aspects of the care of the dependent person at home (figure 25 ), who can now benefit, in the "Time/Complexity/Asset" referential, from non-invasive and non-intrusive monitoring, enabled by recent advances in NICTs, with a view to :

  • returning home (even periodically from an EHPAD) or staying at home;

  • increased quality of life;

  • effective longevity;

  • respect for the ethics of the individual and the family.
