3. Review and outlook
3.1 Positives
The expertise and tools developed as part of the SiNuS project have enabled us to develop a generic approach to simulating the vibratory behavior of complex industrial structures (numerical models on the scale of an entire structure), taking into account certain uncertainties in numerical modeling and covering a wide range of frequencies, including "medium frequencies".
The results obtained are of interest not only to the naval sector, for the reasons given above, but also to similar problems encountered in other fields, in particular :
transport (acoustic comfort of aircraft cabins and car interiors);
building (acoustic comfort in living areas and auditoriums);
