2.1 Rehabilitating the political question of innovation
Like the precautionary principle and responsible innovation, the starting point of the P.S.I. approach is the non-neutrality of technology and, more broadly, of innovations on society . The cornerstone of the P.S.I. approach, however, is the question of the meaning of innovation. In short, it's about going beyond the question of impact - which is often asked, but in our view is insufficient if we don't address the primary question of meaning.
