6. The fab lab of tomorrow
As we explained in section 2.1 , the fab lab has three main functions, namely a training component for its users, a hybridization function and a support function for the professional world. We propose here to see how these different functions may evolve in the more or less near future, as well as some possible transformations and adaptations of fab labs.
