5. Conclusion

Gluing has enabled wood to remain competitive among the materials needed for our buildings and activities. This method is used in virtually all mass production processes, enabling wood to remain competitive through lower prices. Some sectors have abandoned wood, such as transport (naval, air and rail), tools and machine tools.... In other sectors, wood continues to be used, such as carpentry, furniture, construction (cottages, etc.), joinery, parquet flooring, etc. For the future, more ambitious structural applications, such as the construction of 10-storey buildings, are being developed worldwide. Wood's speed of assembly and lower carbon footprint are its main advantages.
