Armor ; Weave pattern
Schematic representation of the minimum number of different evolutions of warp yarns in relation to weft yarns, enabling the entire fabric to be described.
Satin armor; Sateen weave
Weave with no apparent pattern, producing a smooth, shiny fabric.
Twill weave ; Twill weave
Pattern with diagonal rib effect.
Armure toile ; Plain weave
The simplest weave, with a succession of rise and fall in the warp and weft directions.
Chain; Warp
Threads placed in the direction of fabric production.
Cantre; Creel
Structure supporting a set of yarn spools traditionally gathered to form the warp beam during warping....
