3. Conclusion

Today, hopes for future developments, through improved properties or the development of new materials, rest mainly on three lines of research aimed at [14] :

  • improving the properties of Nd-Fe-B magnets;

  • mastering the process of obtaining coercive powders with a view to manufacturing anisotropic bonded magnets offering an excellent quality/price ratio and capable of competing advantageously with ferrite magnets;

  • the development of new families of magnets, in particular HIREM-type magnets, with very high remanence.
