3. Cancer cells and phagocytosis

Cells, whether cancerous or not, capture information and nutrients, and in return synthesize protein or glycoprotein molecules. Some remain on the cell surface on receptors, while others penetrate the cell interior. These different elements circulate within the cell thanks to a complex system of vesicles that isolate them from the rest of the cytoplasm. Some of these vesicles, known as lysosomes, contain a highly aggressive physico-chemical medium that eliminates the elements introduced into them.
