6. Some usage properties
Depending on the intended application, geopolymers will have to meet specifications in terms of resistance to drastic conditions (freezing/thawing, high temperatures) and ageing. The adaptability of geopolymer formulations leads to a range of usage properties that make these materials promising candidates, in well-known applications such as construction in the form of mortar or concrete, and in more innovative applications as a matrix for antennas in the electronics and microwave fields.
