3. Semi-finished reinforcement products: production and uses

Carbon fibers are mainly used in composite materials. It is clear, however, that appropriate resins must be used to optimize the use of carbon fibers. Several reinforcement processes have emerged over the last ten years. The main ones use carbon fibers directly in the form of continuous yarns, while others use a more or less sophisticated semi-finished product, such as dry fabrics, prepreg fabrics or pultruded products.
