2. Examples of tribometers

2.1 Rotating disk pin

Because of its simplicity, the disk-pin is one of the most common tribometer models used in laboratories. We will use Cetim's high-speed tribometer ( 17 and 18 ) as an example to understand the operating principles of this type of tribometer. This tribometer was designed and manufactured by Cetim initially to simulate the friction of segment/sleeve parts in dry-running compressors.
