3. Different types of steel
In addition to the main categories of plate, heavy plate and thin plate for flat products, long products include heavy sections, wire rod, bars, concrete products and rails.
Among alloy steels, flat and long stainless steels play an important role, while other special steels are considered separately.

Flat products thicker than 3 mm comprise plate, heavy plate and
medium plate, and are produced by wide-width quarto mills
