3. The main products of a belt conveyor

Strip mill products almost always take the form of steel strips wound into coils. In the case of hot rolling, coils are often referred to as "hot coils".
Strip thickness generally varies between 1.3 and 20 mm, width between 600 and 2,200 mm, and weight between 10 and 40 t, or even more in some cases. These dimensions are given for guidance only, and depend on the technological resources available for the particular belt train. For example, the maximum width may be determined by the construction of the roller table and the rollers in the cages, and the maximum weight by the construction of the coilers and reheating furnaces, etc.
In exceptional cases, a belt train can supply "sheets" directly, if the products are evacuated before being wound. This is the case for products extracted from the waiting table at the exit...
