3.1 Travel systems

Generally speaking, these are Cartesian machines with three-axis linear motion and travel speeds of between 1 and several mm/min. One or two rotary axes complete the machine to cover all applications.

Studies are currently underway into the use of polyarticulated robots to produce more complex-shaped parts.

The part to be coated can be mobile and the laser torch fixed, or vice versa. The difficulty with a moving torch remains injecting the filler material into the laser beam.
