4. Properties of electroplated alloys
4.1 Structure of deposited alloys
Deposited alloys may or may not have the same phase structure as alloys formed by conventional metallothermic means
a homogeneous solid solution (Cu-Ni alloys);
a eutectic, consisting of a mixture of pure metal crystals of each of the alloy's constituents (Sn-Pb);
a defined compound characterized by a precise composition and crystal structure;
a mixture of several phases.
