5. Conclusion

Recent and future regulations should make it easier to reuse foundry waste in other processes, as long as these materials do not present any environmental risks in terms of gaseous discharges or emissions into water and soil. It is up to the producer to adapt his process through various actions such as product design to reduce environmental impact and waste production, both during production and subsequent use of the products. Among other things, such measures can encourage the development, production and marketing of technically sustainable, multi-purpose products which, once they have become waste, can be properly and safely recovered and disposed of in an environmentally compatible way.
