5. Vocabulary of heat treatment of ferrous products

Standard NF EN 10052 defines the vocabulary for heat treatment of ferrous products.

These terms are divided into a main section and a supplementary section:

  • the main section gives an alphabetical list of terms with their definitions and, where appropriate, comments. Definitions of foreign terms for which there are no equivalents in the language in question are listed at the end of the main section, under their reference number;

  • the supplementary section contains definitions of terms required to understand the main section.

The reference numbers given after each term are identical in all versions of the standard and correspond to the French alphabetical order.
