5. Some software functions

5.1 Extended depth-of-field imaging function

This function, generally referred to as EFI, reconstructs a sharp image from the continuous acquisition of a non-planar surface.

Figure 43 shows the use of this software function, initially focusing on the surface of the part; figure 44 focuses on the bottom of a cavity in the part. Figure 45 shows the image obtained using the EFI function.
