2. Obtaining nanostructured materials
2.1 Main techniques
Two ways of obtaining nanostructured materials are possible:
They can be produced by the progressive deposition of atoms (method bottom up , upwards),
They can be produced by transforming the macroscopic structure (method top down , downward).
By using only the main techniques; inert gas condensation and
electroplating fall within the first methods, trituration (or mechanical
alloying), the crystallization of amorphous solids and severe deformations
are secondary methods. Article
