4. Table constitution

For each mineral, where the information is known and not disputed, we have grouped together the following data:

• its name (according to international nomenclature, without accent on the e or umlaut on the i);

• its chemical composition (the last admitted), noted Comp. chem. ;

  Note :

  in the case of isomorphic replacement of one atom by another, we use the following notation: (X, Y) meaning that Y partially replaces X.

• its crystal system S :

  • C = cubic

  • Q = quadratic = tetragonal

  • H = hexagonal

  • R = rhombohedral

  • O = orthorhombic

  ...
