3. VOC air purification tests
Effluent treatment tests representative of industrial VOC gaseous pollution were carried out in several successive stages.
Firstly, a preliminary step enabled us to verify the adsorption properties of the selected model VOCs on the three types of commercial zeolites in a single-solvent effluent, but also to consider the treatment of effluents containing a mixture of two VOCs by characterizing the selective behavior of the two zeolites during co-adsorption. This step made it possible to check the type of adsorption (favorable type I on silicalite – less favorable type V on faujasite), the maximum adsorption capacity and any steric exclusion phenomena
