5. Conclusion

The presentation of the main soil treatment processes using physical and chemical techniques shows that there is a wide range of possibilities, to which biological treatments can be added. Table 7 summarizes the characteristics of the main treatments used in terms of cost, risk and image with operators, decision-makers and the public. Site remediation techniques are an adaptation of tried and tested methods, particularly in the field of wastewater treatment.
