2. Approach to the treatment of polluted emissions

Over and above standards and regulations, the flow of pollutant emissions, their effects on human health and their overall impact on the environment clearly demonstrate the need to minimize gaseous pollution [10][31][50] . While a preventive approach, at source, is always the most elegant way of reducing undesirable emissions, it is often necessary to resort to curative action, and therefore to implement a process for treating polluting emissions.
