2. Liquefaction process
2.1 Design principles
The hydrogen liquefaction process consists of four successive stages:
precooling ;
purification ;
cooling and catalytic conversion of ortho-hydrogen to para-hydrogen;
liquefaction.
These various stages are described in figure 13 , which shows a simplified liquefaction process.
