Agglomeration; agglomeration

Mechanism leading to the formation of an agglomerate, which corresponds to an assembly of particles loosely bound together by attractive forces such as Van der Waals. Agglomerates can be dispersed and are said to be "ephemeral".

Aggregation; aggregation

Mechanism leading to the formation of an aggregate, which corresponds to an assembly of particles bound in a "rigid" manner, often by a sintering phenomenon. Aggregates become indivisible basic structures and are said to be "non-dispersive".

Distributeur; distributor

Perforated or porous element whose function is to distribute the fluid uniformly over the entire cross-section of the fluidized bed. Bubbles form in the vicinity of this distributor, also known as the fluidizing grid....
