4. Continuous processes. Suspension crystallization

4.1 Principle

In the continuous melt crystallization process, an initial mixture to be purified is introduced into a crystallizer in which the walls are cooled and on which the crystalline layer is formed, which is then scraped off as shown in figure 24 .
