3. Reaction monitoring by 1H BC NMR

Integrating an on-line analysis system into a flow reactor eliminates the problem of availability of analysis equipment, which is often located outside the synthesis laboratory and shared by several research projects. In addition, on-line analysis offers the advantage of obtaining essential information on the nature of the reaction medium without special handling, particularly when the reaction mixture contains unstable and/or toxic compounds. Legros et al. have taken advantage of the benefits of on-line NMR analysis to propose a portable device for the destruction of mustards in flow.
