3. Routing security in RCSF
Routing is the module responsible for routing a packet from one point in the network to another. To do this, network nodes periodically exchange signaling messages, enabling the discovery and construction of routes linking nodes to their potential destinations. As a result of these exchanges, each node builds a local routing table indicating the route to each destination.
3.1 Attacks on routing in a RCSF
The predominant position of the routing service makes it an ideal target for security attacks. In addition, the routing function in a RCSF is quite special, as the ultimate destination of all sensor traffic is the base station (SB). This singular data collection point also contributes to this vulnerability. These attacks include :
