2. First-level safety certificate for software quality
2.1 Definition
The founding act of the Certificat de Sécurité de Premier Niveau (CSPN) is the recommendation report by French MP Pierre Lasbordes, commissioned in May 2005 by the French Prime Minister (link in the documentation section of the article). One of the aims of this mission was to take stock of the way in which our country manages security product certification methods. Among the six recommendations in Mr. Lasbordes' report, the third clearly states that "the certification and qualification policy must be developed by increasing the number of certified and qualified products, and reducing certification times and costs".
