3. Application: future NIST encryption and signature standards

The aim of this third part is to describe three finalists in the NIST competition, firstly by explaining the principle of the type of construction requested (signature to authenticate a message, and encryption to send a message confidentially), then how to simply build such constructions using the problems defined in the previous part. Finally, this part includes a description of the specifics of each finalist and data on the evaluation of their practical security.
