6. Users and permissions
At this stage of the article, you know how to install the hypervisor and create virtual machines or containers as you please. You've gotten close enough to the satellite functions to be able to move forward on your own and find answers to questions that haven't been covered here. Now it's time to get back to the hypervisor itself, so that different people can access it according to their needs. Proxmox contains everything you need to grant the appropriate permissions based on an RBAC (Role Based Access Control) model and through groups containing users, pools containing virtual machines, containers or storage areas, and roles. This software layer can even interface with an LDAP server, but we won't go into that here.
