4.1 Navigation
A necessary feature for a document to be hypertext is interaction through direct designation by the reader within the document itself. The user progresses through the document solely by indicating his or her choices.
By direct designation, we mean that the reader can only choose from the information presented. Under no circumstances can the reader be asked to construct queries, even graphically.
