The Cloud Computing industry comprises a vast ecosystem of models, suppliers and specialized markets. The following definition attempts to cover all the different approaches.
Cloud Computing is a computing model that enables easy, on-demand access via the network to a shared set of configurable computing resources (servers, storage, applications and services) that can be rapidly provisioned and released with minimal management effort or interaction with the service provider.
The Cloud Computing model focuses on high availability. It comprises five key features, three service models and four deployment models.
