6. The architect's job, or how to apply the SOA style
A service in a service-oriented architecture is defined by its URI and by the Mime type representation of the message or resource. These elements do not adhere to any particular technology. They must be defined by the architect. Here's an example of a checklist that can be customized to suit your environment:
the architect's first task is to identify and name persistent resources using logical URIs. A persistent resource lasts longer than a transaction or a session. Under no circumstances should a URI be the result of development;
