9. Glossary
AES (Advanced Encryption Standard)
Standard symmetrical block cipher algorithm using key sizes from 128-bit to 256-bit.
BICS (Built-In Current Sensor)
Current sensor based on MOSFET transistors for integrated circuits in CMOS technology.
CMOS (Complementary Metal Oxide Semiconductor)
Manufacturing technology for electronic integrated circuits (mainly digital) using complementary symmetrical pairs of N and P MOSFET field-effect transistors operating in switching mode.
CPA (Correlation Power Analysis)
Method of attacking the implementation of an encryption in an integrated circuit by analyzing the correlation between the power consumption signal during data encryption and/or decryption and a leakage pattern.
