2. Data types
Rust distinguishes between scalar types (a variable of the type represents a single value) and compound types, which can group together several values in a single variable. Rust has two basic compound types: tuples and arrays, and allows new ones to be declared.
2.1 Scalar types
An integer is a number with no decimal part. The integer types provided by Rust are shown in table 1 .
