3. Choosing a prevention technique

Today, there are several ways to prevent denial-of-service attacks.

  • Implementing a stand-alone solution

    Either through equipment already present in the network, or through the purchase of specialized solutions. Both approaches can be implemented in the case of companies with large networks, network operators or major content providers.

    The first solution is valid in the case of minimal service and investment, while the second is more costly and is therefore especially valid when a higher quality service is to be provided.

  • Use of an external protection service
