5.1 Case statement
The case study is an application for managing hotel room reservations in French ski resorts. A group of hoteliers in the Alpine region has decided to outsource the centralized management of their reservations to an external organization we'll call Yeti. Yeti entrusts you with analyzing the problem, clarifying the system requirements and conceptualizing a solution by drawing up a conceptual diagram. The pool of hoteliers, all of whom have many years' experience in the hotel business, have agreed on a number of management options. These are set out in the text below.
