This first theme contains five subsections which together form a large part of AI ethics: data ethics, algorithm ethics, design ethics, sustainability, control and accountability challenges.

3.1 Data ethics

This sub-theme brings together all issues that concern the collection and use of data. It largely echoes data protection law, notably the RGPD in Europe. These specific reflections on data ethics in the context of AI come on top of more general considerations on good corporate data governance (the life cycle of data, i.e. its safeguarding, deletion, protection)
