2. Decoder
The decoder (figure 13 ), or Set Top Box, is made up of several components described below.
2.1 Tuner
The first step in watching a program is, of course, to recover the bitstream as it has been constructed, in order to obtain all the useful information. The antenna connected to the decoder sends it a modulated signal that also includes all the error correction data.
