2. Air-to-ground modes
This section describes the main modes used by airborne radar to detect objects on the ground.
For the reasons described below, ground objects are processed by two main families of modes:
a first family for fixed objects ;
a second family for mobile objects.
Some of the modes described are the subject of specific, more detailed articles, to which we refer.
2.1 Fixed object detection modes
