7.1 Labyrinth enclosure

Based on the same principle as that used in the design of iteratively impedance-loaded microphones [1] , the labyrinth loudspeaker is based on the idea of eliminating the colorations brought about by acoustic circuits by loading the loudspeaker with a purely active impedance (tube filled with an absorbent material). Theoretically, in order to completely eliminate the reactive effects of the loading circuit without reducing efficiency too much, it would be necessary to carry out impedance matching.
