4. Resource architecture

Network Resource Architecture (NRA) is the architecture that defines the concepts and principles for specifying and designing the functions that control and manage a TINA network [14] .

The objectives that led to the definition of the network resource architecture are :

  • the architecture must present an end-to-end connection service that transports information between TINA applications, independently of any particular network technology. This concept must be based on the concept of a stream interface defined in the TINA processing model;

  • TINA applications require multi-media and multi-point communication sessions. The connection service must support the establishment and control of these communication sessions. These...
