4. Rational use of SDN techniques
The network ecosystem has become a terribly complex and extremely demanding environment in terms of robustness, performance, flexibility, agility and deployment at scale.
This means, in particular, that operators and service providers must now be able to manage such complexity, operating infrastructures that can easily evolve to integrate new services, while guaranteeing their ability to be deployed at scale, their robustness and availability, as well as their resistance to any form of denial-of-service attack.
The introduction of SDN techniques clearly needs to take into account the characteristics of such an ecosystem, particularly from the point of view of qualifying the impact of the introduction of such techniques in terms of cost.
