Predictive traffic analysis: a technique that consists in developing traffic profiles deduced from the observation of traffic passing through a network or one of its components. The resulting library of traffic profiles is built up using artificial intelligence techniques such as Machine Learning. These traffic profiles are used by agents responsible for observing the traffic passing through a network or one of its components: these agents can then compare what they observe with the traffic profiles recorded. They can then detect any potentially suspicious traffic that does not correspond to one of these profiles, thanks to algorithms such as reinforcement learning.
